Nigel Marven,
Sea Monsters, The Seventh Most Deadly Sea.

Astraspis was a species of small armour-plated fish living in the oceans around North America during the Ordovician.

Physical appearance and biologyEdit

Astraspis looked a little like a large, armour-plated tadpole, though it had a wider, flatter head, with eyes on either side, and a wide mouth at the front.

Behaviour and traitsEdit

Astraspis lived by going along the seabed and eating small food particles[1].

In Sea MonstersEdit

The Seventh Most Deadly SeaEdit

Nigel Marven finds a dead Astraspis on the beach, and spears it, intending to use it as bait to catch a sea scorpion. It works, and a scorpion takes the dead fish.
